Crime With A Political Mask

Look at the chart at the link below, then ask this question. What does a purely political movement, that allegedly represents 99% of the 300 million of us, have to gain by proving just how bad they can be:

http://chicksontheright.com/2011/11/17/handy-crime-chart-for-ows/

It seems to us that they are really the 25% criminals, thugs for the lack of a better word, that scream 1st Amendment, when all they really are is evil.

Notice the lack of coverage around other political groups and crime? Perhaps if the Occupy movement was a real political movement they would quit the crime spree that they are on, and be more constructive instead, For instance, they should embrace the 21st century, and leave the 18th century where it is.

That is how we see it.

Should Government Get A Raise When Others Go Without?c

The headline reads:

"Portland Public Schools out of step in share of employees earning $75,000 to $95,000"

Read the full story here:

http://www.oregonlive.com/education/index.ssf/2011/11/portland_public_schools_out_of.html

Our comments are thus:

Government needs to reduce spending,by capping costs. That may mean that the Public Employee Unions will have 6to settle for a bit less for their members.

Question what would the Portland Public school district expenses, and deficit, look like if the most an employee would make were $50,000.00 dollars a year?  Would taxes have 6to be raised, or schools closed, in order to meet the payroll?

Just asking.

Forty Years Ago . . .

Forty years ago some students were killed in an protest when things just got, well, out of hand. Has anyone ever thought what would have happened if the protesters had disbanded when the National Guard arrived, or if they would have done what authorities asked, and just left, or taken the protest elsewhere?

While the loss of life is lamented, loud and often by the liberal press pushing liberal causes, the loss of life is only lamented if the people are students, shot on campus (note the decided lack of being in class or studying for exams) for a liberal cause.

No one much laments the loss of life, student or other wise in previous protests, and there were some, or the loss of life of some five or six billion dead children (ripped from the womb and tossed in the trash). Their violation of civil liberties, apparently, is not press worthy nor liberal enough a cause..

Make no mistake about it, the student dearths forty years ago at Kent State University was (and remains) a tragic thing, preventable, just like abortion.

That is how we see it.

Shall We Enforce Our laws?

Always a little confusing to me, when the local powers that be decide to be ultra lax in law enforcement.

* Erect a cross, and put a note on it that on GOD we trust - Town hall will take it down same day.
* March in a cause for a free society, unhampered by government over regulation - not going to get a permit, and if you don't have one, then its to jail you will go.
* Occupy public property, deification on everything in site, insight riots, stay all week (or longer).

Look, those of you in public office, either enforce the laws on your books or remove them all together.

That is how I see it from here.

Proposed 2012 Budget - Or What To Cut

The link below is to the proposed 2012 budget for the United States Of America.  Pretend that you are in charge, and you want to balance the budget without raising personal income taxes or other fees.

What would you cut,and why. Keep in mind that we only spend 2% GDP on the military. While using NASA to create a moon base, while at the same time devolving a heavy lift space vehicle to get there and back in 10 years would create around 500 thousand jobs directly and a million more (given how money is spread around, so we are talking UPS drivers, computer makers, support teams grocery store workers and such).

What would you cut?

Balancing The Local government Budget

Here is a rather novel thought, what if governmental employees could make no more than 3 (three) times the median wage for the area that you live in?  If, for instance, the median wage for your town was $28 000.00 (twenty eight thousand) per year then the most that any government employee (for that town) could make is $84,000.00 (eighty four thousand) per year.

How much money would your town save?

Just saying . . ..

Here is a little something to think about:

A little "stimulus money might have keep people working, paying bills and paying taxes, but nooooo stimulus money went to companies which are now bankrupt. I would rather have had the stimulus money spent on something like this, to provide jobs.

www.oregonlive.com
The company secured financing for the project, but elected to wait in anticipation of possible anchor tenants ending existing leases in 2015.

The bigger question is this, why do we let the people in power waste our money? I , and my master think that the mantra should be:

1. Control spending.
2. Cut costs (not the same as the above).
3. Live on what ya make.
4. Do not raise taxes, in order to have more money to spend.
