A Little Lamb Poem

We offer an original poem by Sherman Lackey.

Mary had a little lamb,
And she named it Fred.
This was just three weeks before,
Lightening struck it dead!

September is half over, less than four months before Christmas.

Follow The Money To Greased Palms!

In the 1950's cars got poor gas mileage, there were 23 more oil refineries, and gas was cheep. In the 1970's cars got better gas mileage, there were 20 more oil refinery's, and gas cost more, in the 1990's cars got even better gas mileage, there were 18 more oil refinery's and gas cost yet more. In 2008 cars get 30 miles to the gallon, there are 23 less oil refinery's, and gas is over 4 bucks a gallon.

Consider this little item:

Congress made the car manufactures improve gasoline mileage for cars, refuse to allow additional production of fuel. Oil companies have been allowed to control the production of gasoline in order to increase profits and create an artificial shortage. Demand for Gasoline is at an all time low, where does the money go? To Share holders only, umm no.

Oil companies are major contributors to funds to congressmen and women. Looks like collusion to me.

2ed Amendment strikes again!

The Walrus Tale

The Walrus Tale
An Original Poem Written By Sherman Lackey
(With Profuse Apologies To Lewis Carol)

“The time has come”, the Walrus said, “to assonate the King
He has had four long years to correct things and has done nothing!”
A Clam close by piped up, trying not to be annoying,
With all of the security surrounding him how will it be done without warning?

The Walrus stopped in his tracks and placing his left hand in his pocket,
Took out a Cuban Cigar, which he lit from the lighter from his right hand pocket.
Puffing ever so quickly, his hands clasped behind his back,
He began a slow walk Down to the large rock and back.

Looking the Clam in the eye, making the poor fellow quite nervous,
The Walrus asked if this was true, all of the clams said, Yes!” in a chorus.
“What shall we do then?” mused the walrus,
A worried look upon his puss.

Seeing the commotion upon the beach
A Sea turtle popped up in the surf, just out of reach.
After careful inquires of the Walrus and the Clams,
Reported that he had a plan.

“This will end democracy for good”, The Turtle said,
“The beauty of it is you do not have to kill the king dead.”
Clams and Walrus looked each other in the eye,
“Surely”, said the Walrus, “you tell a lie!”

“We must elect HRC to be king and then
She will force everyone to obey, or lock them up in a pen”.
“Ah!” the Walrus replied, “All she has to do is convince the people,
And she will be king, cunning and able”.

Forced medical plan, giving in to the countries enemies,
She will be able to do what ever She darn well Pleases”.
“I like the way you think, clams don’t you agree?”
But looking around the Walrus found on the beach was only he.

Later.

It Is To Laugh

Deep in the forest, there once lived a toad and each morning this toad would look in to the pond and marvel at his looks. He was such a looker; everyone said so, made even more striking by his rich mane of fur.

One day he noticed some little brown spots in his mane and these spots made him worry about his looks. Everyday there were more spots in his main and then these spots began to get bigger.

Alarmed at these events he finally decided to go to the doctor in order to determine what was wrong. The doctor made some tests and then gave the toad some medicine for his condition.

“What is wrong with me?” Moaned the toad.
“Well”, replied the doctor, “You seem to have Toad Mane poisoning.

For what it is worth, in out solar system there is a planet that gets rays from our sun. It is frozen solid CO2. How come it isn't warm if CO2 keeps in the heat?

That is how we see it.

When A Trend Is Not Globeal

One of the local TV stations found valid local weather data that goes back 150 years here, Portland Oregon. And the results are a bit confusing in the light of the hysteria of the globe getting warmer.

So from 1857 to present the amount of snowfall has been less each year, on average, which means that while there have been spikes. As in 1958, the trend is for less snowfall here each year. Something that is being missed by the "green, live in filth" crowed. You know the ones that urge us all to live in the refuse of others so we can all feel good about living in and amongst trash.

There are some things to note though:
1. The ice in the center of Greenland is getting taller
2. The ice in Antarctica is getting taller
3. The ice on the largest volcano in Africa is melting form the sun directly.
4. The ice on Mt. Hood is melting from underneath (the mountain is getting hotter).
5. In the last 20 years there are 40 new volcano's either on land or in the ocean.
6. There are more active volcanoes now than in the previous 500 years.

So it appears that the lessening of snowfall in this area, at least, is a trend and a trend that humans did not create.

So how do we tell me Gore that the trophy is nice and the award looks good on the wall but he got it all wrong?

That's our take.

Stickem Up Portland!

One of the powers that be wants to add a street charge to the Portland Oregon city sewer bill to the tune of 4.75 per month plus a 3 cent a gallon fuel tax for cars and trucks. Tri Met busses and city vehicles are naturally exempt from this as are government buildings.

So let’s look at this because in ten years they want to “raise” 352 million bucks for the repair of major streets, street lights and a few bridges. This doesn’t apply to state and county roads that are in the city and means that 35 million 200 thousand dollars will be diverted from local businesses and local persons to government.

The city already gets money from the state and property tax for streets, though they don’t say exactly how they spend it, they say they need more. The real message here is that Portland misuses its money, hats businesses and loathes single families, but single rich yuppies are okdokie.

The powers that be don’t want businesses to give their workers raises, or bonuses, or pay a living wage, which is why they like illegal aliens which pay this sort of thing without questioning.

We predict that with such a outlay by an oppressive government business will leave Portland Oregon, small family run shops first, forcing the workforce to seek employment outside of Portland . As people cutback their driving the money stream will drop which in turn will cause a drop in the revenue that Portland receives.

It is not enough for elected officials to say that they need more money without explaining just why the department head of the transportation department makes 10 grand more than the median wage of the Portland Population. If wages for city workers are not greater than the median wage (average as opposed to the rich) then the money to fix the infrastructure will be there without a raise in taxes or the creation of new taxes.

Course they could just sell bonds or take the money out of the general fund but that would be the smart thing to do wouldn’t it?

That’s how we see it.

Oregon State Leading Bio Fuels Myth

There is a myth that the State of Oregon is on the leading edge of Alternative Fuels (AF) production and sales. The fact is that currently there is only a single Biodiesel production plant in the sate, one under construction and two Ethanol production plants. While there are less than 50 places to purchase both.

We contend that if Oregon really were on the leading edge then we would have 20 production plants and 200 places to purchase the stuff.

What we do have is a lot of otherwise, until they were elected, bright legislature types that are the next best thing to a dead boat anchor. See our research below.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Biodiesel Production Plants Under Construction or Expansion http://www.nbb.org/buyingbiodiesel/producers_marketers/ProducersMap-Construction.pdf

There are no, zero, none, zilch BQ-9000 Accredited Producers in Oregon state at his time.

Biodiesel Production: 105 Plants producing biodisel now with new Construction 77 and Expansion 8. Oregon's total is two, one of each.

Ethanol Production: are listed here http://www.ethanolrfa.org/industry/locations/ Notice Oregon only currently produces 108 million gallons a year. However are only three service stations in Oregon to purchase it at. http://afdcmap2.nrel.gov/locator/FindNearResult.asp
While there are 40 stations to purchase Biodiesel from.
Far less that the states that are actually on the leading edge, like Illinois or Minnesota, or Texas for instance. http://afdcmap2.nrel.gov/locator/FindNearResult.asp.

That is how we see it.
